Mask Design & Engineering

- Stable Cushion-Body Connection: Engineered to remain leak-free under both sustained high pressure and rapid BiLevel pressure swings — while still releasing quickly for easy cleaning and reassembly.
- Sturdy Headgear Material: The straps maintain tension without distorting, keeping the mask stable and leak-free even at high pressure differentials between inspiration and expiration.
- Adjustable Forehead Support: Individual forehead pad and cushion provides extra stability and reduces bridge-of-nose pressure for extended wear.

Usage & Medical Information
Indications for Use
LENA is designed for patients with respiratory insufficiency or sleep-related breathing disorders requiring positive airway pressure therapy. Suitable for both home CPAP/BiLevel therapy and hospital ventilation. For spontaneously breathing adult patients.
Fitting & Setup
Use the Löwenstein fitting template to select the correct size (S, M, or L). Attach the mask to the circuit tubing, position on the face, and secure the colour-coded headgear straps. Adjust the forehead support for additional stability. Connect oxygen supply to the integrated O₂ port if prescribed.
Cleaning & Maintenance
Disassemble the cushion from the mask body after each session for cleaning. Wash all patient-contact components with mild soap and warm water daily. Refer to the LENA Instructions for Use and the Löwenstein Cleaning Instructions brochure for full protocols including hospital disinfection procedures.
