Diagnose Sleep Apnea
Without Leaving Home
The WatchPAT® ONE is a fully disposable, single-use home sleep apnea test (HSAT) device that delivers clinically validated results with 89% correlation to in-lab polysomnography. Three simple contact points, zero return shipping, and automated cloud reporting — making sleep apnea diagnosis faster and more accessible than ever.
Correlation to polysomnography (PSG) — the gold standard sleep study
Patient compliance success rate with 3-point wrist contact setup
Channels of physiological data recorded and transmitted to the cloud
Smartphone App Integration
The simple companion app guides patients through setup and automatically transmits all 7 channels of data securely via the cloud to the physician's reporting software for professional analysis.
Automated Cloud-Based Reporting
Study data is transmitted via the mobile app through the cloud to the physician's software, which generates and delivers a comprehensive scored report immediately — on any device, from anywhere.
True Sleep Time AHI
Calculates AHI based on actual total sleep time — not total recording time — reducing the risk of underdiagnosis by up to 20%.
Central Sleep Apnea Detection
Central+ sensor identifies CSA and Cheyne-Stokes Respiration, enabling differentiation between obstructive and central apnea events.
Validated Sleep Staging
Detects Wake, Light Sleep, Deep Sleep, and REM — providing full sleep architecture and REM vs. non-REM AHI breakdown.
Fully Disposable — Zero Logistics
No cleaning, no download cables, no return shipping. Eliminates infection risk and back-office burden entirely.
Validated Sleep Stage Detection
WatchPAT ONE captures the full architecture of a night's sleep — a capability unique to PAT-based testing vs standard HSAT devices.
Clinician Prescribes the Test
A healthcare professional orders the WatchPAT ONE for the patient. No capital equipment investment or inventory management required.
Patient Sets Up at Home
The patient easily attaches the wrist device, chest sensor, and finger sensor — just 3 simple points of contact — guided by the smartphone app. No clinic visit required.
Sleep & Record
The device captures 7 channels of physiological data throughout the night, including PAT signal, SpO₂, heart rate, actigraphy, snoring, and body position.
App Transmits Data to the Cloud
On waking, the patient opens the smartphone app, which automatically uploads all study data through the cloud to the physician's reporting software. The device is then disposed of — no returns, no cleaning, no downloading.
Clinician Reviews Automated Report
A comprehensive scored report — including AHI, RDI, sleep stages, oxygen levels, and body position data — is generated instantly in the physician's software and available for immediate clinical review.
01 What the Report Includes
- AHI & Central AHI: Apnea/Hypopnea Index calculated using true total sleep time for greater diagnostic accuracy.
- RDI: Respiratory Disturbance Index including RERA events often missed by standard HSAT devices.
- Apnea Episodes: Timestamped log of all apnea events throughout the night with event-by-event graphic display.
- Sleep Architecture: Full hypnogram showing Wake, Light, Deep, and REM stages — unique to WatchPAT among HSAT devices.
- REM vs. Non-REM AHI: Identifies REM-related sleep apnea, which is often missed in traditional recording-time-based scoring.
- SpO₂ & Heart Rate: Continuous oxygen saturation and pulse rate trends with precipitous drop markers.
- Snoring Statistics: Duration, frequency, and intensity logged for the full recording period.
- Body Position: Supine vs. lateral positional data with graphic display and statistics.
- Cheyne-Stokes Respiration: Percentage of sleep time with CSA pattern (via Central+ module).
- AHI Severity Scale: Automatic classification (Normal / Mild / Moderate / Severe) for immediate clinical interpretation.
02 Technical Specifications
03 Clinical & Medical Information
Indications for Use
WatchPAT ONE is indicated for use as an aid in diagnosing sleep apnea in adult patients — including both obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) and central sleep apnea (CSA) — under the supervision of a licensed healthcare professional.
PAT Technology — AASM Approved
The Peripheral Arterial Tonometry (PAT) signal is an approved physiological measure in the 2017 AASM Clinical Practice Guidelines for HSAT in adults with suspected OSA. It measures sympathetic nervous system changes in the finger to accurately identify sleep-disordered breathing events.
Reducing Underdiagnosis
Most commercially available HSAT devices calculate AHI using total recording time, which can underestimate severity by up to 20%. WatchPAT ONE uses validated actigraphy to determine true total sleep time, reducing the risk of underdiagnosis and misclassification of sleep apnea severity.
04 Benefits for Clinics & Sleep Programs
- No Capital Investment: Fully disposable model means no equipment purchase, maintenance, or depreciation costs for the clinic.
- Ideal for Remote Patients: Extend your sleep program to patients outside your geographic service area with no logistics overhead.
- Reduce Backlog: Quickly scale diagnostic capacity during high-demand periods without adding staff or lab resources.
- Less Back-Office Burden: No cleaning protocols, no download stations, no sterilisation — the device is discarded after one use.
- Immediate Results: Once the patient's app uploads the study data, the physician's software generates an automated scored report instantly — available for same-day clinical review.
- AASM Guideline Compliant: PAT technology meets the 2017 AASM HSAT guidelines for diagnosing OSA in adults.
